We invite you to join us for a meal revolving around the above flavors, produce grown by our friends on this beautiful farm we're so lucky to find ourselves on and local organic lamb from Buckner Family Farm. Incorporated into the meal will be "Fonio" and "Merkén", Fonio is a little known but ancient grain cultivated in the Sahel region of West Africa that's not only considered to be a superfood, it's also drought resistant and has a lot of potential to benefit the region economically. Merkén is a spice blend composed of dried goats horn peppers, coriander and salt from the indigenous Mapuche people of southern Chile.
At Sauvage we believe that even though at the end of the day it's just food, the process of consuming it doesn't have to be just that. We see it as an opportunity to converse, learn, and tell stories, both personal and worldly, that have led us here to share food with and cook for you and to bring us closer to each other as peoples of the earth respectively.
Beverages ~ This farm dinner is also a benefit for The Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission. They will be selling wine and beer at the dinner for their organization. There will be a wonderful selection to complement the menu. Please do not bring your own wine or beer ~ you can plan on buying it here by the bottle or glass.
