The Farmette is located at 4121 Ute Highway. Lyons, CO 80540. It is a private property so please make an appointment before visiting.
From Boulder: Take US 36 north to US 66. Turn left (west) onto 66. The Farmette is 1/2 mile past the intersection on your right. Look for a scrap metal rooster and vertical blue letters spelling out the Farmette on a tree.
From Denver: Take I-25 north to exit 243 for Lyons/Estes Park. Turn left onto US 66 and continue for 14 miles through the town of Longmont to the intersection of Us 36 and US 66. Continue on 66 for 1/2 mile until you see a scrap metal rooster and vertical blue letters spelling out the Farmette on a tree on your right.

Our mailing address is PO Box 1, Lyons, CO 80540. Mail will not get delivered to the venue.

The barn at the Farmette is 60’ x 42’, the main area is 60’ x 30’ or 1800 sq. feet. It has a concrete floor with radiant heat, AC and 2 glass barn doors on 2 sides. There is a portable bar on casters that can be moved around to suit the event. The barn will be used for dancing and as a covered area for ceremony and dinners in the case of inclement weather. It will hold 125 guests. Guest bathrooms are located in the barn.

The tables we provide are standard 8' rectangular plastic banquet tables. They measure 96” x 30". They seat 8 people per table (4 on each side) if the tables are set up end to end and 10 people per table if they are freestanding. Linens that measure 90” x 156" will reach the ground. We have enough tables and chairs to seat 125 people. There are thirty 8’ tables,
two 6’ and two 4’ tables for your and your caterers use. Our chairs are a blonde wood with cream-colored cushions.
Tables and chairs will be stacked and available for use. The caterer or hired staff is responsible for setting up all tables and chairs and for replacing them at the end of the event.

We have 2 dressing areas. A spacious house with a kitchen, 2 dressing rooms and 2 bathrooms.
The vintage airstream has electricity, A/C, seating and a dressing area. It sits adjacent to a covered pergola with a bathroom, lounge seating, foosball table, dining table, refrigerator, coffee maker, filtered water, and more.

The Barnette is the staging area for your caterer. It has a refrigerator, a small freezer, running, potable water, electricity and plenty of area for caterers to work.

Our vintage bar is set up under the covered patio surrounding the Barnette, next to seating areas for your guests.
A portable bar on caster wheels is located in the barn.

We provide lounges and seating around the patio area of the “barnette”.

The property is lined with cabaret string lighting. The entry and exit have additional lighting. The venue is well lit at night.

We have power outlets all around the venue. There should be ample power for all your wedding day needs.

The primary bathrooms for guests are located in the Barn. They are ADA approved.
There are additional bathrooms around the property. One in the catering kitchen and at least one in each of the getting ready spaces.

We provide the optional use of a PA for your ceremony and cocktail hour music with a mic for toasting and/or speeches. There is also a built in sound system in the barn for your use if you choose not to hire a DJ. Our venue manager will set up the sound system and set and monitor the volume.

We have a fire pit surrounded by 4 Adirondack chairs. We provide the fire wood and light the fire. Please note that we may not be able to light a fire if there is a fire ban in place.

We have 2 whiskey barrels.
The barrels may be used as cocktail tables, aisle markers, a cake table, etc.

We have about 65 parking spots and can comfortably park 125 guests. We assign a parking attendant for every wedding.
We recommend shuttle services for guests counts over 100 to ensure that all our guests are able to park. If you or a guest needs to leave a car overnight, it needs to be picked up the following morning by 10:00 a.m.

A walkthrough is included in your venue fee. Walkthroughs are typically scheduled 4-6 weeks before your event. The walkthrough is a moment to meet with your venue manager, coordinator, and caterer to discuss the timeline and details of your event.

A rehearsal is included with your venue fee. Rehearsals are scheduled the day before your event between 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning. They are limited to an hour. Please also limit guests to ceremony participants only. Pets, games and picnics are not allowed. It will be scheduled through your venue manager. Venue managers do not attend rehearsals.

We provide a venue manager who will communicate with you in the months prior to your event and answer questions regarding the venue, policies and amenities. Our venue manager will be onsite the entire day of your event. More information about the responsibilities of our manager, your coordinator and your catering staff are listed below.

The Farmette property is relatively flat and accessible to guests with mobility limitations. We do provide ADA restrooms.
We also have an electric golf cart which can be used to transport guests in need.

You are required to hire a wedding coordinator, and they must come from our vendor list. They cannot be a friend, family or a guest at your event.

Your caterer and bartender must come for our vendor list. Most catering companies provide bartending services. If not, you must choose a bartender from our vendor list. You can bring in your own alcohol. Cash bars are not allowed. All alcohol must be served from a bartender to your guests hands. No wine bottles set on tables during dinner or bins of beer or alcoholic drinks that guests can serve themselves. Bar service must end at 9:45.

If you choose to hire a DJ, they are required to come from our vendor list.

We take care of all recycling and trash. Our goal is to be a “green” venue. Plastic water bottles are strictly prohibited. Our venue has potable drinking water. If you choose not to rent plates, flatware and glasses you must use compostable goods, not plastic.

You can choose to hire a DJ or band from our vendor list or you can use our basic in-house sound system.
Our venue manager will set up the provided sound system for you. Aside from the initial setup and breakdown, we do not provide Disc Jockey (DJ) or Master of Ceremony (MC) services.
We allow “light” amplified music outside on the lawn for your ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner music, until 8:00PM. You can also use a microphone for officiants, vows and “light” announcements and toasts.
Bands may be hired for ceremony, light cocktail hour music and dance music, provided they abide by all sound level policies.
All dance music must be inside the barn, with the exception of a “first dance”. If you would like dancing outside on the patio you must use a silent disco or an acoustic band.
The bay doors must be closed during dance hours. If you hire a musician or band they must bring their own sound equipment and they may not have a subwoofer.
Music ends at 10:00 pm sharp.

Noon until 11:00pm. The party must end at 10:00pm. The hour between 10:00pm and 11:00pm is for your coordinator and caterer to clean up.
On weekends, we are unable to allow access to the venue any earlier than noon. Mornings are busy with rehearsals, mowing, cleaning and maintenance for that day's events.

Early arrival is offered at the discretion of the venue and is intended solely for hair and makeup preparation in the Farmhouse (the designated getting ready space).
Eligible Days & Time
Early arrival is permitted Monday through Friday only.
Early arrival is not available on Saturdays or Sundays.
The earliest permitted arrival time is 9:30 AM.
Permitted Individuals
Only necessary individuals and vendors directly involved in hair and makeup services may arrive early. Photographers OK.
No additional guests, family members, or unrelated vendors are permitted during early arrival hours.
Restricted Areas
Early arrival access is limited to the Farmhouse.
Couples and vendors must remain out of the Airstream and pergola areas, which should remain clear. (Exceptions may be granted by the venue on a case-by-case basis.)
No Outdoor Setup or Furniture Movement
No décor setup or preparations may begin outside the Farmhouse prior to the standard arrival time. Rental deliveries before noon are OK.
Staff Operations
Venue staff may still be cleaning, leading tours, conducting rehearsals, or performing other duties during early arrival hours.
All early-arriving parties must respect staff operations and instructions.
Parking & Vehicles
After unloading, all vehicles must be moved out of the upper gravel area to the lower parking lot to allow space for rehearsal and staff vehicles.
Fee & Payment
A $350 early arrival fee is required.
An invoice will be sent through Rock, Paper, Coin. The invoice can be paid online through Rock, Paper, Coin or by check (dropped off or mailed).
Early arrival is not confirmed until both the signed agreement and payment are received.

We don’t provide linens, plates or glassware etc. Those items need to be rented and there are rental companies recommended on our vendor list. We don’t provide heaters. If your ceremony is in May, late September or October or, if cooler weather is forecasted you might consider renting heaters. They are available from most rental companies. Please inquire with your venue manager or coordinator if you have questions or need recommendations.

Candles are allowed however, they must be enclosed in a glass votive. We don’t allow sparklers or Chinese lanterns.

Dogs are allowed for the ceremony only. After the ceremony they will need to go home or be taken to a kennel. We provide recommendations on our vendor list for dog care.

Smoking is prohibited on our property except in our designated smoking area. Cigars are allowed near the fire pit or smoking area. Your venue manager will point out the smoking area at your walkthrough.

Unfortunately, neither service is easy to get in Lyons, especially at 10:00 at night. Please let your guests know that they aren’t reliable options for transportation from the venue.

We don’t require wedding insurance but highly recommend it. Eventsured, Markel Insurance and Wed Sure are great companies to inquire with. They offer both liability and cancellation coverage. We do carry liability insurance on the venues.
