Learn to spin wool roving into a rustic yarn on a drop spindle—a simple, portable tool which originated thousands of years ago. Connect with your ancestors while learning this relaxing and meditative craft. Class fee includes a drop spindle and fiber, including locally-sourced alpaca roving grown at the Lyons Farmette.

Jaime Jennings is one of the owners of Fancy Tiger Crafts, a revolutionary shop in Denver, Colorado that specializes in craft supplies and classes for the modern crafter. Jaime first started spinning yarn on a drop spindle in 2006. Since then, she has gone on to win the Spinzilla Competition 2 times with Team Fancy Tiger, competed in the Estes Wool Market Sheep to Shawl competition and has taught hundreds of students to make yarn.
