We’re a working sustainable farm and education center, with a mission to support and empower our local food community.  We also host beautiful farm dinners, weddings and classes throughout the season.

Please make yourself welcome and join us.

Besides providing flowers, veggies and herbs for our farm dinners, classes and weddings, we also offer an array of workshops and classes. On any given weekend, there could be opportunities to learn how to keep bees, build a cobb oven, brew beer or make cheese, drawing on some of the best educators, teachers, chefs and agriculture experts in the Front Range community. We also host a Permaculture Design Certificate course in the spring.

In addition, we play host to several wonderful farm dinners, which showcase some of the best chefs in Colorado, and provide a wonderful setting for your wedding or special event!

The Farmette was started by long-time Colorado residents Betsy Burton and Michael Whipp. Betsy and Mike purchased the property with the intention of establishing a community center in Lyons, Colorado, bringing together their passions for art, locally-grown food, education and environmental sustainability.

Please note: We’re available by phone or email anytime, but visits to the Farmette are by appointment only. Thank you for your consideration.

Directions ~ The Lyons Farmette is located at 4121 Ute Highway (a.k.a. Hwy 66), at the eastern edge of Lyons. From Boulder, take Highway 36 to Highway 66. Turn left. The Farmette will be exactly half (1/2) mile down the road on the right (north side of Hwy 66).  Look for the mailbox with the scrap metal chicken underneath!  We warn against using Mapquest to locate the Farmette—previous efforts have landed visitors on the opposite side of town….
