Blackbelly Farm Dinner ~ June 4th  

Blackbelly’s founder and award winning Chef Hosea Rosenberg, winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Season Five, is bringing his culinary excellence to Lyons Farmette on June 4th and September 17th! In support of the local farm community, our mission is to provide a unique farm to table event experience through unparalleled service and an unforgettable custom menu using the most seasonal local ingredients we can find. In fact, we source most of our ingredients from our own Blackbelly Farm, where we raise our own pigs and lamb. In addition, we’ll showcase fresh produce from the Lyons Farmette on our multi-course menu.      Wine will be for purchase on-site at the event.

A Benefit Dinner for Farm Food Relief ~ June 11th

 Colorado Farm Aid and Farm Camps is pairing with The Farmette and Oscar Blues Brewery

with Chef Jason Rogers for a benefit Farm Dinner, Silent Auction & beer pairing on June 11th.   In addition, numerous bands (Jack Johnson, Phish, Wilco, The Avett Brothers, and more listed below) won’t be here in person, but are contributing dozens of signed pieces of merchandise to help out the farms devastated by the 2013 Colorado floods.

Wine and beer will be for purchase on-site at the event.

Arugula ~ A Benefit Dinner for Local Food Shift ~  June 25th

Please join Alec Shuler, Arugula and Tangerine Chef/Owner, at the Lyons Farmette for a farm to table dinner to benefit Local Food Shift! This promises to be a fun event, starting with a tour of the Farmette to include the outdoor gardens, hoophouse show-and-tell, and time with the chickens, goats and llama. The tour will be followed by a multi-course dinner created by Alec and served up al fresco. Of course, there will be Colorado wine and beer available for sale, so grab a refreshment to quaff during the tour.

We thank the Lyons Farmette for hosting this event. The Farmette is a little slice of heaven located at 4121 Ute Highway (Hwy 66), at the eastern edge of Lyons.

{Eat}  A Benefit Dinner for the Give Back Yoga Foundation ~ July 30th

With menus designed around the day’s harvest, Farm Dinners strengthen the bond between community agriculture and the pleasure of eating. Eat has been honored to work with the Lyons Farmette for special dinners hosted on their lovely, picturesque grounds, utilizing ingredients picked that day from our local farm’s soil.  This upcoming season will see even more opportunities to celebrate our local farms and reconnect to the source of our food. The fresh and incredible flavors of an organic harvest produced locally speak for themselves. Come dig your fork into the edible riches available in your own backyard!

THIS FARM DINNER BENEFITS the non profit GIVE BACK YOGA FOUNDATION & their EAT, BREATHE, THRIVE PROJECT ~ an initiative to encourage and teach healthy eating habits and positive body image through the power of yoga.

Spice of Life Farm Dinner ~ August 27th

Chef Dijkstra prepares a meal that celebrates the Farmette’s harvest, drawing inspiration from the rich flavors of the season. With ingredients picked fresh at the Farmette, Dijkstra will craft a menu with his trademark creativity & flair, incorporating fresh twists with comforting classics. A Spice of Life prides itself on creating memorable experiences in addition to their delectable menus; they believe every day is reason for celebration. Using the Farmette’s crops like juicy tomatoes & flavorful greens, each of the three courses will celebrate the season and our community. Enjoy the surprise and innovation of a Farm to Table menu with neighbors & friends on the land where the ingredients were grown. Wine will be for purchase on-site at the event.

Experience delicious cuisine, meet new people, and share a special evening  with friends and family as Eat’s chef and owner Katie Bruzdzinski prepares an unforgettable meal. The day’s bounty from the Farmette and surrounding farms will take the starring role in a multi course dinner that spotlights the strong links between community farming and the pleasures of eating.
